My latest experience was from PT. Lekom Maras Tubular Service Division. Our scope of job to inspect and maintanance various of OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) such as Tubing, Casing, Drill Pipe, Elevator and many others.

I've been accustom to understanding the grade of pipe, it's size and it's connection, especially with tubing and casing.

There are somany grade of pipe I've inspect such as: K55, J55, L80, N80, P11O and extra thickness. with various connection such as: Vam Top, Vam Ace, New Vam, RL4, RL4S, TKC, LTC, STC etc.

The step of our work is to open the protector, clean the box and pin so that we can find the leakness in the connection by procedure of VTI (Visual Tread Inspection) or by using special gauge to find the leakness with the tread. And with the body we use VBI (Visual Body Inspection) or by using UT Gauge to find the leakness with the body. If we don't find any leakness usually we buffer the pipe so that we can coat the pipe properly and make the new marking to the pipe as an information that the pipe in a good condition and ready to use in the field and drilling. But if we found some leakness such as corrosion with the connection or mashed with the body we have to make report that the pipe have to get maintenence by retreading.
